Quail lying down, refusing to eat

She struggled a fair bit today when I picked her up to put her out (it’s currently sunny and warm). When I put her in her cage she went straight to their dirt and took a dust bath, she pecked her food a bit and then went to drink water.
She’s lying down a bit less.
Her poo is white and quite foamy with a bit of yellow (I’ll see of I can take a picture now)

That's great, at least she's moving more than before.

She’s lying down a lot less, she’s also puffing up her feathers a lot less. She runs away from me now and she struggles a lot when I pick her up. She ate a bit and drank some water, currently she’s dust bathing (fourth dust bath of the day - she usually takes around that number).

This all sounds good. I'm suspecting that she either hit her head or had a minor illness. I'm glad that she seems to be on her way to recovery.

She’s acting relatively normal. She went straight to dust bath when I put her out and then went to drink some water, she isn’t too interested in feed so I’ll try with some cooked rice which she usually enjoys.
She also laid an egg during the night! The egg has no spots and has a soft shell however

It definitely sounds like she's getting better. Give her some egg shell with her treat to get her calcium levels up.

Yesterday I gave her some cooked rice and she loved it, I tried giving her some tiny pieces of broken eggshell but she refused it (she’s very fussy). But she’s acting completely normal now, other then not eating too much.
