Quail not eating treats anymore?

I have a 1 month old quail, he used to be excited and take meal worm and cheese from me, but now doesn't seem to recognise treats? I wave it in front of him and he doesn't respond.

He eats and drinks fine, not lethargic but I feel like he slowed down a little. Is this normal?

Check him over for mites. Look around the vent area and behind the neck. Mites would slow him down a bit. Look him over for any other signs of illness...respiratory ailments, growths, deformaties, anything that might be making him slow down.

no mites, no defomities. However he got food up his right nostril that was preventing him from breathing properly. I removed it a bit but am not sure if it's all gone or what, he's still behaving the same

How about de-worm him and see what happen?

nope...his poops look normal and all and still the same when dewormed
