Quail not mating

What are they eating?

Layer feed + crumbled hardboiled egg yolk. The feed i ordered is supposed to reach me in two days.

Eating ants shouldn't be a problem. I had an ant infestation inside and some made it into the brooder. There were no survivors on the ants side.

They would do that in the wild.

Totally okay. Ants will give them more protein.

Ok, so , i have one more question. Today i found one egg under the cage of quail,as quails usually roam under the cage. It is pretty hot outside as it is summer. I candled the egg to see if it was good to eat or not, so i found out that there was a baby. Looks like five days old or so. If you see on one side you can notice the baby moving

, and on the other side, it looks like there is blood accumulated.
Should i discard this egg or give it a chance. Please guide me. Pictures are not very clear but you can get the idea of what I am saying.
