Quail not mating

Unfortunately sometimes quails just change their behaviour. I had a flock, 1.4 ratio, working totally great for 3 month. But suddenly they went mad. I had to cull all. Still don't know why.

One interesting thing i saw in the hen was thousands of small eggs in her abdomen.

Was that the hen that was acting agressive? Was it parasites?

No no it wasnt parasites, it was her ovary, with many eggs starting from larger eggs to very small eggs. It was definitely her ovary as it was attached to her egg canal

It sounds like you've had an adventure. If one of your birds starts behaving like that in the future, you might try separating it and bringing it inside in a hospital pen for a while for close observation.
