My cousin up in Kentucky has some bobs and coturnix. I could call him up and ask about permits and releasing. I also know a guy that has a big hunting ranch. He'll buy bobs from anybody around there. I sell mine to him when I go deer hunting up there. He pays pretty good, and buys in bulk.

The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife is pretty good at being able to contact, and their website is helpful to. The TWRA is full of crap if you ask me. They make the laws very controversial. You cannot release game birds unless...... Whereas they are.... prior to release and they are released into ...... They make everything so complicated. Once they wanted to find out how many real bobs were left in TN so they kept asking breeders for release records from 6 years back. Kentucky Fish and Wildlife is so much better, because you can actually call somebody and talk to them instead of a recording or a link to a website that goes into way to much detail to the point that two laws will contradict themselves. Sorry I am just mad because nobody from TWRA will answer my phone calls or e-mails. They arent even in their office on a Monday morning. Go figure.

I know that there should be some laws, but there are so many, and you can't even understand it. The laws even go against what one says. One of them says that you cannot release bobs at all. Then there is a law that says you can if you release them at this time in this place with this type of bob. No matter what you do the game warden interprets the law, and if he doesn't see it the way you do then there is a big problem. I think that they should be a little bit more clear instead of leaving everything up for interpretation. I also think that you should be able to contact somebody if you have a question instead of having to go through 2 months of crap to find out how it is legal to train dogs. Turns out if they don't come back to the recovery pen they can fine you if you are training them on state land, or a property owned by the federal or state government. All I am saying is that it is way to complex for a guy to sit down and read it all the way through and still understand what he was trying to do. Sorry, I finally got a hold of the guy, and he had to hang up, because he was going home early. I didn't even get to tell him the question. It makes me so darn made a guy cane be so rude after you have been calling him for 2 weeks trying to ask a simple question that takes 10 seconds to answer.

Well I just checked my e-mail, and he said that he would have to get back to me. Thank goodness my friend found the link to a game farm that releases them. It had all of the info on how to legally train dogs. A person who goes by the laws can answer a question better than the person who is in that department. Oh well I can get back to buying my bobs now.Sorry if I seemed a little crazy.
