I've ordered quail eggs via ebay from a good seller. She collected and shipped the eggs but so due to shipping issues they were held off by one day. I've read it's best to let the eggs sit and orient for a whole day then place into incubator. Question is, do I dry hatch or wet hatch? What gets best results? I am using an HDD incubator and have had wonderful success with wet hatch of chickens. But this is my first time hatching quail.

I incubated cortunix quail the same as I did chicken eggs. Wet or dry will depend on what suits your environment best. For me 45% until lockdown then 65% for hatch has been fine. But that’s not to say it will suit you.

Some good reads here in the quail section on incubating them ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/categories/quail.32/
