at what age do you give your quail their first tray of sand to dust bathe in?

Are eggs generally fertile from the beginning or does it take some time for fertility to happen?

I dunno when to 1st put the tray in, because I sort of leave it in. Once they are big enough to hop in and out...... well

you can allow them to dust bathe any time but they normally dont appreciate it until they start getting feathers in.


eggs are fertile as soon as the roo does his job (or atleast a few days afterwards atleast lol)!

How do I know the roo has done his job if I don't see him doing it?

I guess I don't...
