Quail Questions

I have a couple questions.

1. At what age should I separate this lady quail from the frat house of boys? I'm guessing she should have her own space with a nest box. (I have 4 boys and one girl)

2. Are they like chickens in that they'll lay eggs with or without a male in there with them?

I am getting some from CatCobb and will be putting a nice boy from her with this little lady and a nice female or 2 with the others.

3. Do I put them 1 male 1 female or what is a good ratio?

4. When they lay is it one egg a day and what is their season of laying?

5. What do you call males and females?

I have Cortunix quail (brown ones)

Thanks very much! They're about 4 weeks old now. So I'll go separate them.

I can't believe how quiet they are.

I still have all of my birds together, they are also 4 weeks old. I'll separate probably in teh spring if they dont fight. I have mine outside, and would perfer to keep them together for warmth, but if theres spats yep i'll separate. You dont HAVE to separate already, but the only reason I said "if taht was me 4-5 weeks' is because one hen with 3 males might start a spat at 6 weeks.
