I've looked all over and I see comparisons between the different types, but none of it gives me what i'm looking for...

on average, how much does a quail carcass weigh? for what varieties? button, coturnix, bobwhite, etc?
and how long does it take to get them to that size?

this varries alot, but if you want a fast growing, heavier bird, you can't go wrong with a jumbo coturnix. They will most likely weigh between 12-15oz. live weight by 8 weeks of age. Weight depends alot on breeding lines and sub varieties. Coturnix do grow alot faster than bobwhite though, which take about twice as long to mature.

Buttons weigh practically nothing.. 3 oz. maybe?
coturnix weigh from 6-16 oz. the average being in the 12-14 oz range fully grown.

Coturnix and bobs are relativly similar in mature weights, the bobs just being slower to mature. Again depending on normal lines, jumbo lines, and which of either.
