Quail Snacks...

Wow!! I didn't expect this many responses! This is great... Now I have a game plan in place for my birds. I do sprout seeds for myself, but I never thought about sprouting some for them (DOH!) I tend to give my birds at least one snack per day. If the snack is a boiled egg, then my quail get about 1/2 of an egg , shared among 6 birds. They still eat plenty of their regular food and have really gotten big.

I checked this morning and they did eat all of the apple bits that I gave them, so maybe they figured out that I wasn't trying to poison them. If anybody has any other ideas, please keep em coming. ..

I am not sure how much nutritional value they are getting I do it mostly because it is fun to watch them jump around and dance in their little lawns LOL

it only takes a few minutes before they have done a pretty good job at mowing the grass down and I have to take it out and reseed it and start all over again LOL

you should give it a try your birds will love it
