Quail Treats and Eats!

Awesome! I always kept my quail in huge aviaries. They loved the freedom and flying! Quail live a lot longer when given the most natural environment

Thry do seem happy! The thought of them living on wire floors didnt seem right to me. /: just sounds to unnatural.

Haha i know what you mean. Im 6 1/2 months pregnant and its a sight to see raking the pins out each week lol

Our quails love garden worms, greens, veggies, mash, sm parrot/cockatiel food and some herbs.

When I was a kid and didn't know about all the bird feed stuff, I used to just feed my birds the wild bird seed since that could be bought commonly at many non-feed stores. Though it may have filled them but it didn't seem to give them the nutrients they needed, since the girls would not lay eggs that often (I now know this). So you can give them as a treat but don't let it be their only food.

My quail also enjoyed lettuce, watermelon and steamed corn. Whether it was loose or on the cob, they did a good job eating it all.

I recently got 8 young quails and put them in an aviary where there was feverfew growing, now the plant is a "skeleton". Such a strong tasting plant but they love it.
