What are the best ones? My 6 have two 300ml rabbit bottles with the metal nozzle and ball, but they just seem to keep pecking and their bedding gets damp fast. Are nipples or cups any better?

What kind of quail is it for?

For my king quails, I use these. I find them to work quite well.

I use a larger version for the larger quail.

The waterer has rocks in it so they can't knock it over. I use the same thing for japanese (coturnix) quail, just larger - a larger container with stones in it.

Thanks for sharing your waterer. I don’t think it’ll work for my girls though. I might try the nipples or work with the bottle

These are what I use. The one that screws onto a soda or water bottle seems to be less messy, they manage to spill/splash the cup ones, since they have to hop on/in it constantly. Btw.... The hatchet works great too, reduces their water consumption dramatically! Lol.

The best thing to use for jumbos are poultry water cups. They will waste water with anything else. You'll just need those, a 3/8" vinyl line and a 3/8" bulkhead. Secure the bulkhead to at least a gallon container, hook up the water cups and you're good to go.

Thanks. They’re not Jumbos though, if that makes a difference?

As long as they're half a pound or more, there shouldn't be an issue. The water cups are the most effective when they're at a height were they can reach in to get water, but can't stand in them or poop on them. For tiny birds like button quail, they don't really work.
