Quail with dead foot

so I have some quail chicks and one got out and was running around the house and got some hair around it’s foot and I didn’t realize until now and it’s black and dead will it fall off what should I do

I can’t take A picture at the moment my phone isn’t working well, it hasn’t spread to the leg it pretty much cut off the blood at the ankle

If blood flow has been cut off for a significant period of time, the foot will blacken, dry up and eventually fall off.

It is black so it will just fall off and not cause an infection

Yes it should be fine, you might want to wrap it up or cover it for a few days so it doesn't cause and infection or rub a sore on it. Tell me how this little quail does!

thank you both so much I feel so bad I didn’t see her foot sooner I will give an update when she gets better
