Quail with other Quail?

My flock is various sizes & colors including some jumbos. Also have celedon layers in the mix.
They're from 5 different hatches. The first was in May of this year. It's been a process for adding new birds since then. Some aggression problems owing to too many males, but those have been dealt with. Finally added the last of the birds from the grow out pen, and misted everybody with the 50/50 vinegar & water mix. Things seem to be going well since.

The worst problems I had were they stopped laying for a couple of weeks when a bunch of them molted, and there was a runt who had been getting beat up. I isolated the runt, put blue kote on its head wound and put it back in a week later when I did the misting trick. So far so good.

They should get along if everybirdie has enough space and places to hang out. As far as keeping strains pure — nope. Quail are not at all discriminatory. They will completely interbreed.
