YOU COULD POTENTIALLY CONTAMINATE YOUR FEED SOURCE AND INADVERTANTLY SPREAD THE ILLNESS. WE THE HANDLERS MANY TIMES BECOME THE TRANSFERING AGENT... SO DONT HANDLE THIS GUY UNTIL YOUR COMPLETELY DONE WITH EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE ELSE YOU MUST CARE FOR (AVIAN-WISE THAT IS) BLEACH THE SNOT OUTTA ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING THAT IT MAY DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY HAVE CONTACT WITH AND CONTINUE TO DO SO THROUGH OUT THE END OF YOUR ORDEAL. After a week in isolation his eyes are all better. I'm starting to suspect that he was getting pecked.

I also suspect he might be my only blue scale - the rest are valleys. Would they detect and peck at the "different" one?

Did an experiment - put him back in the "main population" last night... this morning, the left eye is looking worse for wear again!

Me thinks they're picking on him

Update 2.5 weeks later he's fine and healthy. His eyes appear a bit narrower than the others, like perhaps there is some scar tissue around them, but he's also the only Blue Scale that I have, so it could be a species difference.
