Well my babies have finally gotten their sand, jeez was it a pain to carry up my stairs! I put a shallow bit in our dust bath container to let it dry up before I let them bathe and well they more so peck and scratch at it then bathe it's quite amusing xD. I had the runt of the flock took a dust bathe but her sister kept peck-nudging her to move so she can forge. I also have decided to save up some money because I found a way I can join their hutch with my rabbit's old floor cage, plastic fencing would be like enclosed around the ramp leading down in the other cage for more room. I'm hoping that I can get tiny latches so I can unhook the fencing and close up the ramp if I have to move them into the utitlity room during winter if it gets extremely cold but being down in Louisiana I don't think it ever gets that cold. I'll be posting pictures of darlings very soon since I got a new camera. I ended up taking off the top to their feeder because the bigger ones kept knocking the runt out the way and she would be left to forge but when they were done they would lay and chill out in the food dish they're so silly haha. I figured how to save some food and space for them by feeding them 3 times a day every morning/noon/night I will put in and take out the feeder dish and leave it in for an hour or two until they had their fill. Their water stays in though but one thing I can't find her is crushed oyster shells I'm surprised my feed store didn't have them.
