quails hatched!!!!!!!

i woke up this morning too a little chirpy chick and i have another one pipped how long does it take for one to hatch after they have pipped and i will get pics up when he/she is nice and fluffy.

p.s are they all complete bhlonde when they are born or do they develop a stripe later on they are corturnix.

Mine (coturnix) hatched spotted. But there are different varieties. I've had pure white adults, so you may have one of those.

From pip to hatch was very quick... a few hours.

ive just peeked into my bator and one of the eggs that seemed that it wasnt doing anything was nearly cracked all the way around so in the next ten minutes i should have another chirpy little chick.

update:
three chicks are hatching and three more have pipped

but one of my chciks is hatching backwards and im worried about it its coming out of the larger end with its feet kicking the shell trying too break it off is it unusual for them to do this?

five are hatched and two nearly out butstill got 3 pipping.
