OK here are new pics of the quails, So I ended up with 16 out of 18 eggs.
That is awsome, One is full white and 2 are white with brown stripes, they areso cuteand tiney, Oh and they are like frogs, they are so fast hate to be held. And I think they think they are suposed to take a bath in the water.

I haveto watch to make sure they dont drown.

Congrats on your new babies! They are so cute! I have 4 adult quail, and two babies that are just starting to turn white. You might want to put marbles in the water to prevent drowning. Good luck and congrats again, they are adorable!

At TSC I got a quail chick waterer that prevents them from drowning. It's got a smaller opening and smaller dish so It isn't even big enough for baby buttoms to climb inside

Ok - what do y'all do with quail? My hubby wanted to hatch some and take them out to the family farm & release them. His dad likes to eat quail. Maybe he likes the sport of hunting, but I figured, might as well keep them enclosed and they'd be easier to "harvest". We have chickens for eggs, but what about quail?

Yummy, tasty, yes do it! Get hooked on quail like the rest of us. Why release those little chickens when they are great browned, and slow baked

ohh noo, hehehe I dont eat or hunt them, i just thought they were really cute, Im going to sell most of them. i want to let some loose were i live just so i can see them in the wild bushes and then collect there eggs some more.
