Quail's talon/claw is torn off. Help!

one of my pharaoh coturnix claw is torn off I do not know how it was torn off. can somebody please tell me what to do.

All i can tell you is to clean it,put some antibiotic on it and bandage. Can you separate the bird for the night and see how he's doing in the morn. I have had chickens loose claws and never had much problem.

Will it grow back? I put some ionide on it. Should I put triple antibiotic ointment on the wound? I have already separated her and gave her straw.

When chickens lose a toenail, they do not grow back. They can be painful for a couple of weeks. Spraying some betadine on the toe would be what I would do, and watching the activity to see if more should be done.

Without seeing the toe I can't tell if it will grow back. My guess is that it wont.Sorry. If he's calm and sleeping I would leave him for tonight and put antibiotic on it tomorrow.
