I was planning on using this for quails. What would I do about the poop though? Can I just pick it up on the grass? Is it better to have a tray underneath? What can you use other than trays?

What can I do to reinforce it to make it safe for them?If you can move it across the grass I think the quail would appreciate it
Keep in mind that those coops do need a bit of reinforcing to protect from
good question! be sure all of your locks are working correctly and if they seem too easy to open add on another lock for safety. adding skirting around the perimeter of the bottom to keep predators from digging under is a must! you can make moveable ones so your coop can still be moved aroundWhat can I do to reinforce it to make it safe for them?
I disagree! My quail learned to go up and down the ramp to the "top coop" just fine. I used a coop just like this as my starting coop. They learned because I put them all up top with the food and the water was downstairs. They figured it out pretty easily!!Quail don’t do well with multiple levels, they like everything on the ground floor! Also how tall is the run section? You want under 18” or over 5 feet or they may break their necks when the flush (jump when startled). Using it as a quail tractor (move it every couple days to fresh ground) would be fine but make sure it is cat/raccoon/dog…etc proof!
I used a coop almost exactly like this for my first coop. I flipped over the thing and stapled hardware cloth to the bottom. It's not however rat proof (they chewed right through the cedar and killed all but one quail), but stood up to coyotes.I was planning on using this for quails. What would I do about the poop though?
