Quails

Hey everyone,
I was watching a video one YOUTUBE about quails, and I was a few questions because I want some really bad.

1 What are the best quails for laying... I know they lay really small eggs

2 Do quails lay 1 a day... I heard they lay 5-6 a day

There are many species of quail, the most common types are the Japanese Quail (Coturnix) and CBBQ/Chinese Blue Breasted (Button Quail). One quail can lay one egg a day or every other day. 5-6 hens can give you 5-6 eggs. The best quail for laying would be Coturnix.

I don't know where I heard quails lay 5-6 eggs a day?

BUT are quails really noisy? I live in an area where I am not suppose to have poultry.

they arent bad UNLESS you have MALES. the hens do quiet sounds

When Do they start laying and Coturnix is they best for laying?

They start laying anytime from 5-10 week of age. Coturnix would be your best bet.
