How old do Japanese quail need to be before being put in my outside pen and when do they not need a heat lamp

The first week they're hatched you should run the brooder at 95*. Lower it by 5 degrees per week for 4 weeks. By that time they should have all their adult feathers. As soon as they have complete adult feathering you can wean them off the light.

I bought my quails 3 months ago and still they dont lay eggs.
I have two males and two females.

Hi I'm new here and I'm just trying to figure out why my quail are not laying eggs. I have 3 females in with 1 male. I have my other 5 males separated. They are all about 2.5 months old...does anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I'm better at raising chickens lol

1 question at what age can i take Pharoah quail out of the brooder box and put them in a pen outside? 2nd question i have some of my quail that are bout 3 to 4 months old, when and how can i introduce my 2week quail to them?

At 4 weeks old they are fully feathered and can come out of the brooder. You cant introduce them to adult quail until they are adults themselves.
