Update: This bird will be going to Spring Branch Bird Rescue by Friday, Aug. 31st. After that it will cost you to adopt him.

A Quaker Parakeet literally flew into my life a few months ago. He was evidently turned out or got loose and I've never been able to find the owner. The silly thing is pretty entertaining as he is a good mimic when he has a mind to be and keeps me laughing by mocking my own laughter. Can talk some but usually hard to understand. At times though, clear as a bell I'll hear "KIKO!" or "rrrrrrrRICO!"

Don't get too close though or he'll bite the snot out of you. I've been told he's "cage aggressive" and this is common for Quakers. Someone that knows what they're doing could train him out of that but I don't nor do I really want to take the time. My poor cockatiel wants her life back, the life with me and without that green monster she hates.

Seems healthy and adores taking baths. In fact nearly everything you give the wierdo ends up in the water bowl.

Bird only, no cage. Come get him and he's yours. (Or her - I've really no idea the sex)

PM me here.

(edit - Quakers are much larger than "normal" parakeets and almost solid green - Can be really great pets when properly handled)

Edit again: Don't be too put off by my tongue in cheek humor here. He's a great bird for the price and truly entertaining even if you can't handle him. Evidently he's been kept alone and therefore doesn't require the attention a tame one does.
