My heart is hurting. I am sitting here in tears for you.

I am in the same situation. I have a hen (Red Girl) that has been sick and nothing I am doing is gettng her any better, she is getting worse. I know that putting her out of her misery is the correct thing to do, it just hurts so bad. I have made up my mind that if there isn't any improvement in a few more days, then I am going to have her put out of her misery.

Thank you, everybody. I feel good knowing that Buddy is at peace now and that she is able to run and scratch like a chicken should.

Here is a young Buddy during happier times. She was always "off" but got around pretty well until recently.
