Quality of These Silkies?

So, I found an add on craigslist- I want to buy these silkie chicks. I am planning on showing them so I asked for pictures of the parents. Are these show quality?

It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the buff and possibly the blue seem to be good. The others may be as well when they are in shape. There are a lot of minute details that can be looked at such as the type of crest, the wing shape, how tightly they hold the wing to their bodies, the shape of the feet, nail colors, and the overall body symmetry and shape. It is hard to tell all of those things from pictures. I hope someone else can help you out more, but the best way to judge would be to take individual side and front pictures as well as pictures of feet (top and bottom), crest, and more. Furthermore, skin needs to be a very dark blue - basically black. Silkies entered in state and local fairs that are not sanctioned do not have to be as high quality to win. My best suggestion would be for you to attend a show (look up 'poultry show central' online) and ask one of the silkie breeders there if they ever sell eggs, chicks, or started birds.
Finally, no bird can be guaranteed winners because it depends on the shape of the bird at the show as well as the quality of the other birds.
