when i hatched my first batch the little buggers would toss feed out, i left them overnight and till the next night and they had littered their floor with feed. I fixed my feeder, the round kind with holes, by cutting the neck of a bottle and sticking it into the quart jar, made it release less food and they had to reach in for it. Worked like a charm! The batch that I hatch out over the weekend...well, I had a very good hatch rate 21 out of 28 shipped eggs, so they were too crowded at the circle feeder, i went out and bought the long bar kind. I haven't seen them toss any feed out, but we'll see.

You can make one by simply cutting a hole in the lid of a container. Heck, any sort of "lip" helps. I have been known to use duct tape to form a lip.
