I got rid of mites by making a STRONG mite spray out of essential oils. Doesn't matter which ones but lavender is best. The mites die instantly. Good luck!

I think I will stick with Permethrin dust/spray just purely because it has been proven to work in many situations. But thank you for your input!

Day 5: They all have names by now! I will try to get pictures of each of them and introduce you guys! The permethrin spray has not come yet, but I will be treating the coop in 5 days anyways. Which means...we will be treating them 2 days after Christmas! I didn't see any mites on them at night, but maybe I wasn't thorough enough.

ETA: My mom said the permethrin spray won't come until after Christmas. Hopefully it comes before the date I dust them again. Also, my mom bought the one Eggcessive recommended.
