I was wondering what everyone does in regards to bringing in a new hen?
I was planning on keeping her in a separate pen for 30 days. Then I was told that I didn't need to if I was familiar with the home she came from and was sure they didn't have anything contagious. [IMG] I see the point, but I was sorta thinking of 'better to be safe then sorry'

    What do you do?

Quarentine, quarentine, quarentine. Always. Even a perfectly healthy looking bird can wind up with something not good, just from having thier immune system weakened by stress...
