Quarantine question!

Hi, yes I do know a thing or two.

Ive adopted at least three chicken not from my own flock. Quarantine them for three weeks, if they seem healthy, just put them in with the others!

All my own experience, I wouldn’t want to give you bad advice.

You can do whatever you want to! We’ll give you advice, but you don’t have to follow it. If you think they can go in soon then you can put them in (just beware). But no one can force you to do anything.

Your personal judgment on the condition of your birds should give you a sense it's safe to do so. Do a physical checkup on each birds than move them.

I say you should just give them a final full body checkup and then let them out if you want!

I’ve followed these steps. Wash hands, handle normal birds first, change clothes, different shoes, 100+ feet away, etc. I like this article.

Look for lice and mites, too. When I rescued a couple of hens, they were pretty healthy except for a lice infestation and oe had vent gleet. Took me forever to deal with those. Glad I waited before integrating them. Treating lice on 2 hens in a temp coop was a lot easier than treating the whole flock.
