Quarantine time?

So, I came out today to 5/11 of my hens with blood on them. One seemed worse than the others, though, none were that bad. She has a little blood on her beak and on one of her toes, and the talon seems partially broken. I separated her into a dog crate next to the run today, because I noticed that the blood was getting pecked at. How long do I need to keep her separated? They are not bad injuries, but I have absolutely no idea what could have happened to them either. They all seemed calm…

If it's just a claw injury I would think you only need to separate until it stops bleeding and you get the blood cleaned off.

As far as I could tell it was. She had some blood on her beak too…

She and the other hens were probably pecking at it like you suspected (chickens are attracted to blood).

Claw injuries bleed A LOT, but they are usually minor.

Tried to let her back in… apparently, they are going after her white claw on the other foot as well…

Hmm...that is interesting. Are they all obsessively pecking at her claws and just hers?

No, there’s just two… oddly, the other two pullets from her clutch. The one above is the one that was massacred, and the white one below is what they are going after now. It’s weird.
