I'll be picking up a new 9 week old BO pullet tomorrow. I know she needs to quarantined for 30 days to ensure she doesn't have any health issues. She'll be quarantined in the house and she'll have her own feeder/waterers that will only be used for her.
Once she clears quarantine I plan to put 1-2 other pullets with her so she isn't alone when I integrate her with the rest of the flock.
My questions pertain to sanitization/sterilization when I move between her and my other chicks. Is simple hand washing enough? Should I have a bleach solution to sterilize my shoes and such when going out to tend to the other chicks. Should I change clothes before going out to tend to the other chicks?
My current chicks haven't been vaccinated and have only been around other chicks that were hatched and incubated indoors. This is my first time introducing an "outsider" so assume I know zero, lol.
