Hi all! I was putting my 8 week old girls to bed tonight and snapped a picture of them sleeping. They’ve been sleeping on the roosts for less than a week. Super proud of them! I’m curious what your take is on who is head pullet and how the pecking order goes based on these pics!

When I let them out into the run, there seems to be 3-4 that chase others and give a quick peck. So I think they’re still working on it. Lol.

Woohoo! Way to go, girls! They’re adorable. Hmmm... top pullet is the black and white one (silver laced wyandotte maybe?) pecking the mini camel colored one? Is the little one a bantam?

The SLW is definitely up there on the order from what I witness outside. I have 3 bantams. 2 of which are buff brahmas which is the camel one you are referring to. I do have one EE bantam that is hard to see. She is squished on the bottom bar to the far right. You can see her little head and thats about it! LOL

Whats your take on the two lone rangers on the left?

Lone rangers low in the order? Tough to say. How do they act outside?

I wish I would have paid better attention when I took this picture. So, I have one BR that is one of the top girls and the black Australorp is also up there. But my other BR is low and so is one of the RIR. So... I can't tell in the picture if the lone girls to the left... if one is the BA or the RIR. That would determine if they are low or high.

Interesting!!! They do still cheep so yes, there is some commotion at night when I put them to bed. I always thought it was them crying for me when I left. Haha!!! It’s probably them yelling at each other for the best seats!

Although if the lone rangers are the BR and a BA, they are top girls outside. Curious.
