Question about a pip on day 18

This is our first hatch and we only set 2 eggs. It was more of a fun experiment for the kids, but now I'm totally attached to the little guys (or gals). Anyway, I candeled at 10 pm last night for the final time before lockdown and saw that one chick had broken the air sack then heard her peep! She peeped a little and the eggs jiggled a little as well. At 5am today I saw she had cracked the egg, but not actually broken through. It's 5 hours later and nothing else is going on. Haven't really heard a peep (but I moved them to a bigger incubator after the candeling) or seen a jiggle this morning. My question is, is she still able to breathe even though she hasn't actually broken through, and for how long? I know everyone keeps saying to sit tight and wait it out (it's so hard!!), but their pips seem to have been letting air into the egg. Is it possible she'll take longer to start zipping as it's only day 18? Thanks!

Yes some of mine took a whole day after pipping to zip and then 6 to7 hours later to zip completly and come out of shell
Thanks so much. The patience paid off. 13 hours later our chick zipped and was out in 10 minutes. well worth the wait. The other one pipped as soon as she was out too. Yippee!
