Question about adding chicks in with 6 week old chicks.

I purchased 9 1-2 day old chicks and now they are 6 weeks old. 6 out the nine are boys, I plan on selling them and want to add some more girls to the group. My questions are:

Should I get the same age chicks?
How do I introduce them?
Any other suggestions?

At 3 days old you should be ok to add without problems other than bio security. But I am interested in the 6 week olds transition too. I have 2 8 week old chicks and worry one may be a rooster, and I'd have to rehome so I am wondering how hard it would be to introduce another at this age.
