Question about air sac orientation

Congratulations on having 17 looking good, it's great that the air cells are in the right place too! I think it's a pretty easy mistake to make, the light colored egg white at the pointy end does resemble an air cell. Good luck with your hatch, those babies/embryos look like they are growing beautifully! :)

Thanks! This is my first try with artificial incubation. I have been a broody only and let me say that any hen who is a successful mother is worth her weight in feed and treats!

I am also doing low humidity hatching as this thing is a pain to deal with. I am picking up a donor wine cabinet Saturday and I will probably never use the thing again...

I've only ever artificially incubated, it's been highly addictive! I hope despite the frustrating incubator you'll have a good first experience with artificial incubation, oh and good luck getting the wine cabinet incubator up and running! :D

Thank you! I am having a great time despite the pain. Anything worth doing is going to have a little or lot of mistakes but you learn more through failure if you are willing to put in the effort.

The wine cabinet project is going to be documented so that will be posted at some point.

The more times you candle the eggs the more opportunity there is to kill the embryo.

Use this to determine humidity changes.
