Pretty sure my ducks are developing angel wing!
Currently feeding non medicated New Country Organics poultry feed supplemented with a good helping of nutritional yeast, HOWEVER I have been overindulging on the morning and evening “wormies” as snack for sure. Treats should be less than 10% currently looks like more like 20%.

I am now stopping all wormies until further notice.

I’ve seen a YouTube tutorial or two on how to wrap them during the day to help rectify it, I want to stop it from getting too bad too fast!
Can I use wrap from the pharmacy section of my grocery store for now while I wait for vet wrap to come in?

Should I take them to the vet? It will likely be at least a few days till I can get in with them if not longer and they only allow one duck at a time and I have 6.

Thank you so much!!

Also Duckily’s are by far the worst
No one else has them coming out at this angle like this

This does look like angel wing. What bandaging materials can you get from the pharmacy? Any of these will work:

Have you seen these threads?
Angel Wing

Angel wing usually happens with to much protein.
How much protein is in your feed?

Also are you planning on cleaning the brooder soon?
Yes, exactly. That’s why i mentioned we’re stopping all wormies. I was giving them way too many meal worms every morning and some at night too!

I clean the brooder every day 4-5 times per day ^ ^ this was taken just before it was cleaned.

Thanks so much!
I tried some from the pharmacy and even with medical tape it’s falling off.

I think I need to order some online that’s duck/water proof! I’m not sure what kind to get
You could try "elasticon". It's super sticky.

Angel wing can be hereditary or from poor nutrition such as not enough protein. The ducks would not be getting to much protein in a typical poultry feed.
Yeah I have been giving them huge handfuls of mealworms and since they’ve gotten bigger I thought it was fine, but the handfuls kept getting bigger too and it was like over 20% of their diet.

Huge mistake I feel so bad for them.
Going to schedule a vet appointment to check on the one who had it the worst first and I’ll order some wrap that will work for them on rush delivery in the meantime
