Question about Australian Saddles

I am looking into buying one. I just recently rode one and really liked it. I normally ride western. Looking for something that is more comfortable for long pack trips.

Anyone have experience with one?

When I bought mine several years back I had a hard time finding a quality one I could afford. When I went to resell it, I had a hard time finding anyone to buy it, even at $100 less than I paid.

I loved it and it was so comfy, and it sounds like it will work for what you're wanting to do. I have heard people complain that due to the way it's built it can be harder for you to get out of it in an emergency-like if you have to bail quickly.

Don't try to post in them, you're supposed to sit with your legs further in front of you. Actually, you CAN post in one, but it's not the easiest thing to do. They are popular among gaited horse riders for this reason.
