I'm not sure if I'm posting this under the right topic, but I was just curious what a reasonable price would be to sell a pair of beilfelder chicks.

Do you mean day old chicks? If not how old are they? Also are you looking to sell them locally? Are you only wiling to sell as a pair? Some people are only going to want her, or would prefer trio's for breeding.

I would sell what ever the person requested and yes they would start selling as day old chicks. I would perfer locally.

You are not going to get as much selling locally as you would if you shipped chicks. It comes down to the size of the market. I see these going locally for about $15 for day old pullets and $5.00 for cockerels and $3.00-5.00 for hatching eggs. That doesn't mean that where you live will be the same. The best thing to do is put an add up locally and see what type of response you get. I would go with craigslist. Depending on your local feed store there is often a bulletin board you can post on for free as well. Depending on the amount of interest you generate at that price point you can easily adjust your price for your market. Little to no interest lower your price. More interest than you can supply raise your prices. Hope that helps.
