We have one black sex-link pullet that looks just as she is supposed to except for one newly developed feature...she has developed a "frizzled" tail. He wing feathers don't appear to be frizzled...just her tail feathers. We got the chick from McMurray. I'll post pics as soon as my daughter emails them to me.

Would this be a normal trait to see?

You didn't say what age she is but, here are two pics of my blacks. They are full grown but, under a year in these pics.

And in case you are thinking it maybe a roo.

Although the roos very greatly in appearance. There was a thread with pics members had posted of their roos too.

Posting under a different name as I've had log-in issues this morning. I think they're solved now!

She is about 12 weeks old and looks just like the pics of yours...except her tail is frizzled. Pics will be the most helpful...I'll post soon.
