Question About Blood In Chick Stool

I have a chick that pooped a bit of blood in its poop. Not much, just a little. It is otherwise acting normal. It is eating, drinking, and flying around like the others. I do not have a picture of the poop, though. I feed them medicated chick starter. Is this coccidiosis or something else?

How old is the chick? It would be good to see the picture to know if it is more like blood or cecal shed which is more orange red. Corid can be given in the chicks water if you see more droppings that look like blood, or if any chick acts lethargic or puffed up. Corid is pretty safe to use, even if there is not coccidiosis.

The chick is about 2 weeks old. The poop looked overall normal with a bit of reddish stuff on it. None of them are acting sick.

Post a picture if you see more of it, or get some amprollium. Coccidiosis is most common between 3-6 weeks of life, but can occur at other times when immunity is poor.

I think I will give them Corid, because the chick I am worried about is seeming a bit less active than usual. If they are on medicated food, how much Corid do I need to give them?

I pretend like they are on a feed that is not medicated. The excess has not shown any problems for my birds.

I too woke up with blood in stool. I did see cecal shed in a separate area of their box. I have both pics attached. They have been on medicated feed and I just got them two days ago. However they should be a week old.
