Hi guys,

I have a question about my block rock chicken.
Last year she went broody in early May which I thought was a bit weird because I was told they don't go broody because it had been bread out of them anyways I let her get on with it. At the start she had about 15 eggs under her I would of like to let her have them all but they were to many for her and I was told I'm not having 15 chicks running round here so I took 6 from under her.
So after what seemed like forever we ended up with 9 yellow balls of fluff running around the garden :D
They grew up and I gave many away to my good friend who also keeps chickens.
Anyways my question is will she go broody again this year because if she's not I would like to fill up the incubator and get hatching now the weather is on the up.

Thanks:)

Most hens that have gone broody repeat the performance. There is no guarantee that she will go broody this year, but she will most likely do so.

Thank you very much for the help I think that I will wait and see if she goes broody rather than filling the incubator because I think you can't beet raising chicks the old way with a broody hen as it is much easier and saves a lot of time.
