Hi,

What would define a "show quality" Buff Orpington? Hen or Rooster.
I'm asking this question for a friend.

Now, I'm going to ask a question for myself:
What would make a "show quality" Black Langshan?

Thank you for any help!

You can learn more about Exhibition Orpingtons on the BYC Orpington Thread at https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=259995 and by joining the American Orpington Poultry Fanciers.

There is also a BYC Langshan thread at https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=284419

Here
is a photo from that thread owned by rodriguezpoultry.

You asked... What would define a "show quality" ?

Show quality is defined as being bred in accordance with the American Standard of Perfection (SOP), published by the American Poultry Association (APA). If the bird is shown at a sanctioned APA poultry show and is not disqualified, I would consider it a "show quality" bird. It may not win the class, but it would still be better than a DQ.
