Hi, i saw an add in our local shopper guide. Its a small publication that lets you list items for sale for free. They do charge business' to advertise though. But back to my question, lol. Anyway i saw some White Rock Pullets for sale, they wanted $6.00 each for them. Deos that sound about right? I acutally have no idea what a White Rock is but that is just the first time i have noticed a certain breed of chicken advertised in there. I may use that to sell a few of my babies later on.

Now remember, i am new at this, lol. But if by started you mean out of the chick stage, i would assume that they are a couple of months old. Because he knows they are pullets. But I am not 100% positive. Thats the first time i have seen chicken advertised other then just mixed yard chickens around here. we will be asking $10 each for our white silkies. I figured that was a good price.

Thanks Jennifer

This is what I do for my black pet quality silkies.

Day old to a week: 4-5 each

week to about month 5-7 each

two months to 4 months 10 each or so

laying age $15 for girls $8 for boys

These are PET quality birds that are not close to standards. Prices in this area for everything is a bit high though so it might be more than your area goes for.

That sounds about right. i actually may even be able to get more for my colored ones. White is about the only silkie type around here. My husband bought me my adult white silkies, 2 hens and a roo for $25 for the trio. But he was offered $30 for them as he was loading them in the truck. The one laid and set and hatched already, she has 8 of her own babies. The other hen has not laid not one egg. And believe me, it ain't the rooster. He does his best to populate the chicken world. I am thinking maybe the lady had hatched a set off her right before we got her. Maybe she is in her molt. She is a little younger then my other hen but she is grown. Thats the only reason i could think of for her not laying.

I have seen pics of those hamburgs. They are really pretty. I think almost all chickens are cute.
