Don't wanna hijack the thread but one quick question...

When doing the egg carton method, don't you have to add extra water to compensate for the moisture that the carton sucks up? and can the chicks hatch from that position?

I haven't had to add any extra water. Yes, they can hatch from the egg carton, matter of fact, looks to me like it's easier on them. Just pip, zip and then they're out.

I don't understand the egg carton incubating ,What do you mean by this ,Why would you put an egg carton I your incubator ?

The carton holds the eggs up vertically. Most turners mimic this as well. Many believe that holding the egg upright helps the chick hatch better. After trying both ways, I'm inclined to believe that it helps the chick when hatching time comes.

Just woundering but can u over candle eggs?

The more you touch the eggs the higer the chance for bacteria to get in them. I know its fun to see but do try not to do it to much !!
Day 7, 12, 18 is good !!
