Okay, this is weird. My nice fresh eggs have totally runny yolks, as in, you break the egg in the pan and the yolk goes everywhere. I know what's wrong when the eggshells are thin (& how to fix it) but this has me stumped. Anybody had this problem & solved it?

Someone else recently reported that problem in this forum. You may want to scan through the threads...

I know that the yolk loses its firmness and integrity as the egg gets older. How old was the egg that went all sploshy? And how had it been stored (fridge or counter)?

I give my birds lots of veggies. When I make a salad they get the lettuce I don't use, carrot peels, pieces of peppers anything I don't use. I cut the ends off the cukes and they get that. I give them watermelon. I recently harvested the rest of my crop and some were a bit over ripe but they love them. When ever I harvest anything that is less than desirable that I won't sell, the birds get. The yokes are nice, firm and orange.
