Okay, everyone. I put the 4 x 4 posts in place for the fence today. I spaced them every ten feet at the center, and they are 6 feet tall. I was thinking that I could put 2 x 4s parallel to the ground, using them as reinforcement at the top, middle, and bottom of each section. I could use the top as a rail, just laying the 2 x 4s at the top of each post because of the 10 feet to center measurement and then just screwing them down to the top of the post.
However, do I need to insert the bottom and side 2 x 4s INSIDE the frame, with some kind of support, or would it work to just attach them to the outside or inside of the post/run and attach the fence to that? I will be using two rows of 2 by 3 inch mesh, with hardware cloth buried underground. I will be bracing the corners/posts.
Help.
