Question about fertile eggs.

My understanding is the odd number assures that the chick is not constantly resting on one side all night.

Thank you so much! I know it's been a while, but the chicks started hatching Wednesday and I have 10 out of 23 hatched so far with 4 more trying to peck their ways through the eggs!
