question about free ranging

this is my first summer with my new chicks their about 14 weeks old i have them in a enclosed coop with run they have plenty of shade and stuff but i was wondering how i could go about letting them free range for a little bit each day while im out in the yard.. im afraid theyll run off and ill be devisated lol... i give them treats fresh fruit & veggies bugs worms etc.. but i know they would love it.. can i pkease get some thoughts & opinions on how i can let them free range??

do they go in their coop by themselves at night? If they do, you can let them out. They know where to return to. When I let my girls out and I want them to go back in early, I just walk behind them with my arms out and herd them in the direction of their run. They go right in no problem. They won't wander too far and they LOVE the freedom! Let them out and enjoy watching them!
 
yes they do go their coop by themselves every nite by 845.. i want them to enjoy the freedom just a worry wort i guess lol
