Question about humidity (Marans eggs)

I don't boiled just keep in the basement,i keep in the room temp.

City water (chlorinated), well water, rain water, distilled bottled water. SOunds like results vary based on the water source.

Should the rain water be boiled ( and cooled) before using in the incubator??

With 250 birds to water , the water doesn't sit for very long and is quit clean already. RIght?
