ive seen people pu that they have incubated in a toaster oven and just filled the tray on the bottom with water and had hatches. how good is this idea. if anyone has doen this i would love to know how that experice was. thanks so much

Years ago when electric skillets first came out, someone gave my mother one. She was afraid to use it because it was aluminum. So we put some duck eggs we found in a nest along the canal into the skillet to hatch. We set if on low. We turned them and sprayed them about four or five times a day.

It actually worked. They hatched out, but one of them got under the skillet, and when it turned itself on it killed it.

The rest of the ducks lived, grew up, and then one day were gone. Flew off to God only knows where.

Anyway, avoid the toaster oven. We set the house afire with one of those things.

I'm looking to get an electric skillet to try. I figure that if I fail at hatching I can always use it to cook in.
